Preparing So You Don’t Have To
“The arrival of a notable person, thing or event.” We at Advent Consulting LLC can help plan, prepare and execute our client’s arrival, stay and departure from their event, appearance or social engagement. With over 20 years’ experience in celebrity, entertainment, and venue security, law enforcement and federal government agency work, we can provide that sense of peace and security that allows our client to focus on your own duties and responsibilities at their engagement or just the simple enjoyment of being with friends and family in a public setting.
We accomplish this with proper planning and preparation. All planning is derived from what the client’s specific needs are relating to; what type of event and/or appearance they are attending, the type of public interaction that is anticipated and/or wanted, its location and possible threats and risks that may be inherent as a result of those factors. Once those needs are specified, we prepare with a risk assessment by site visits to understand the layout of properties and their immediate vicinities, research of possible risks in those areas and the available resources available in the area in order to accomplish this task. We also understand that even with the most laid out plans to achieve our client’s goal in today’s often unpredictable climate, we must be able to react and adjust to those plans in real time in order to achieve the main focus of our services, which is the safety and security of our client.
While we plan and prepare for high risk situations, we understand that public interactions can be the most concerning due to direct access and close proximity to our clients that can increase the risk to their safety, along with the possibility of creating negative situations or unwanted media coverage. While privacy and discretion are our goal, in today’s environment that is sometimes not possible. When in this environment, we provide professionalism and utilize de-escalation techniques when engaging the public because we understand that while we are not a direct employee of our client, we are still a representative of our client. Physical techniques are only utilized when there is a direct threat to our client’s safety and security.
